Has anyone upgraded the rear springs on the older E350's ?

I'd like to increase the load capacity by upgrading to something along the lines of a 450 or 550. I've got a very slight sag, but since these things are very close to (if not already) overloaded, I thought a little heavier spring might be beneficial.

Check your local spring works. They can tell you exactly what you need and probably provide it for you.
Good luck.

just make sure you dont overload anything else in the process, like the axle or tires. or the frame extension.

Definetly not. I'm not looking to increase any weight, only handle what's already there a little better.

They make aftermarket helper springs. Have a good reputation.

Yes they do !!! I'm going to add their rear sway bar kit to the coach, but was wondering if there is a better option than the "add a leaf".

Load lifter 5000 if you are looking for an air system.

I think you will find that air is the way to go. I used to do the ad-a-leaves with lift kits we used to do years ago...and they would generally break right at the center bolt hole. That being said...
remember you are NOT adding to the GVWR or the GAWR, all you are doing is helping tired springs. Good luck, Geo.

Have to agree with the air suspension suggestion.
