Question V-10 performance tune questions

Just curious about long term effects of performance tune? Also, why do manufacturers of chassis or moho not install said systems? For Ford, seems like it would be cost neutral. Would really like to know.

I would suspect Ford sets the Parameter of tune in the PCM lower than the engine's maximum power capacity to increase engine longevity by reducing excessive wear of engine & drivetrain components.

Just a thought.

If Ford has to meet EPA regs, how can Performance Tune and others violate those parameters? I am more curious than ever.

Ever wonder why you see performance products commonly labeled as "off road use only?" Well, now you know...
