Will be going home in a few and pulling the cover and go from there. It has been through the plug recall and was not in the issue time. So it's inspection time on the wires and general look see. It was 2 weeks ago it ran fine but we also filled it with fuel then but the reader says 3 plugs are misfiring.

Will look for coil packs where's a good place and what is the cylinder location if your in the cab looking forward as in 1-10.

Thanks

Mike

I just changed the plugs in my 2002 V-10 go here: Changed my spark plugs today

Problem might not be plugs, but they are due for changing. Plugs are cheap and easier to change than I was led to believe. I reused my original coils. Runs fine.

Coils, they will usually fail before the plugs. But it won't hurt to change the plugs while your there.

You can swap the coil packs around and see if the misfire changes locations. Then you know the coil is bad.

Nothing obvious yet. Added dry gas and injector cleaner and going to take it for a ride tonight. reset all the codes was 1, 3 and 9 I believe.

The gas might be 6-8 months old.

4 coil packs , 10 plugs, 10 plug something or others 4 hours of fixing wires. Gas filter , oil change and $1000 later I'm sitting here having breakfast again.

Expensive critters....I'm surprised the coil packs went bad unless they were chewed up too. I had a similar problem with rats under the hood of a vehicle and I placed some rat poison blocks in corner areas under the hood where they would not dislodge, fall and be available to dogs and cats. No more issues after that. Glad you got it fixed.
