V10 CHUGGING with no codes

2015 Newmar 2903 Baystar.
For the last year I have been chasing a problem. The engine would miss like a clogged fuel filter. Many mechanics worked on the problem. They would say its fixe and in a short time it was back.

The following was done, throttle position sensor, throttle body, mass air flow sensor, rest the computer to relearn, and completely strip computer of program and reload.

Finally a good mechanic found that there was noise in the mass air flow showing on the computer. The wire harness, which is the engine management harness had wirers placed in the harness by Newmar. The wires to the mass air flow where replaced with new shrouded wires to correct the problem. Hopefully this is the problem and it is fixed.

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM:ba nghead:

Yes , inducted voltage into a ECM sensor wiring harness .

1984 Chrysler New Yorker 2.2 L turbo . Extreme turbo lag ( 6 to 8 seconds) after throttle input. Just over 150 units effected , North America wide.
Came down to inducted voltage into the O2 sensor wiring . Wiring harness manufacturer ( Mexican ) was contracted to build the harness with a black wire to the O2 sensor . He ran out of black wire so he used white wire , painted black ; with a lead based paint . ECM read the induced voltage as injectors rich and cut the injector pulse to minimum , so the engine ran lean; misfired and hesitated . This was on engines with only OBD 1 , so there wasn't enough data from the ECM to track it down. We were stuck disconnecting sensors till we got to one that allowed the engine to run better with the wiring disconnected. Then ran a wire outside the harness.

I know TMI . Should have just stuck to the first line.
