I pulled out onto a hill after leaving a show and headed home and hit the gas and nothing .. no power at all .. felt like the engine was off, so I dropped it into low one and hit the gas and the coach accelerated normally. Did not do that again on the rest of the trip back.

I noticed the same thing on the highway a couple of times the other day.. hit the gas a little and nothing, then go to the floor and it's normal again.
Brand new coach and this was it's first time out except for the couple hours return home from the dealer.

How long was mh on the dealers lot. Sounds like it could be old gas.

Brand new... Three days at dealers. Dealer filled it and I drove home. I topped it off when I got it home at TA truck stop.

Just checked for codes and none found

It sounds like a throttle sensor. I don't beleive you have a throttle cable on your coach. If not, your gas pedal is elec. controlled. It sounds like it is faulty.

I asked at a dealer, they say they have to have a tech verify the problem. I told them a road test will likely not return the problem as it only occurs every now and then. But they will take a look next Wednesday .
It's a bad feeling to hit the gas and nothing happens ...
I would imagine they can check the systems? My scangauge said no codes found. I didn't put it on the other scanner.
Give me the good old days of mechanical throttle

Latest update.. the tech was able to verify an intermittent problem but it is not throwing a code. He said the tech is contacting ford for help with the matter ....... "trying to figure it out"
Guy said usually it's something to do with the throttle sensor when customers have these types of issues with the v10's.

They are sending it back to me. They can't find what the cause is.
Said it may have resolved itself... Tech took a test ride yesterday and id didn't recur again since his first drive.
They weren't getting any dtc's and he said they can't throw parts at it.

So I hope it doesn't conk out on me when I need it.....

I think I would contact Ford, they have a specific motor home support group

Motorhome Customer Assistance Center
This 24 hour, seven-days-a-week Hotline was designed to serve
both motorhome owners and RV dealers.
By dialing 1-800-444-3311, the caller has access to:
• The nearest appropriate service location.
• Assistance in scheduling a service appointment.
• Service Assistance for motorhome customers and RV dealers
in resolving Ford chassis-related concerns.

This could cause a dangerous driving condition and I wouldn't want to take any chances.

Same old story, while under warranty they can't throw parts at it. But when its off warranty they will be more than willing. If this tech is at an RV dealer, try taking it to a Ford truck center if problem reoccurs, as it most likely will.

Then again maybe he fixed it by wiggling the plug ins.

It is at a ford service center, they sell sterling trucks and ford trucks.
I called RV hotline and the girl told me they only will send me to an authorized service center.
This was a service center... guy claimed to have the best driveability techs in New England *rollseyes* My take is , if your so good then why let it out the door without a fix.
A friend of mine knows one of the guys in a different dealer. He was on the phone with me and said they have had two issues like this that they fixed by installing a new throttle body. The throttle sensor is part of that assembly. He said it will not throw a code if it is going. He told me to call the Serv. Manager and tell him to call the tech line and they will help with that. I told that to the place the MH is at and he had a hissy fit. His guys are the best, blah blah blah..So much for them. I told him I want it in writing. If I am in an accident due to this issue , I will have a field day with ford.

He wrote it up, I asked him to sign it and he got the first letter of his name on the paper and then refused. He goes on to say not to worry ford has the info now. He didn't want to sign as he said he was worried he would be dragged into a lawsuit if anything did happen. Told me to come back and see the service manager on Fri.
I said I want a hard copy for my records. How do I know what they sent in to ford as far as details. They may have put down customer says power loss and we didn't find anything.

Nice place to have service done. The driver seat was dirty and I had to clean it, the tech obviously took a left corner too fast judging by the stuff on the floor.. all the bathroom items were on the floor, the cabinets, the storage bins etc... all had stuff against the side or toppled over. I drove 200 miles without a single item moving an inch and over some rough roads also. Maybe he thought it was a race car?

My plan now is to take it on a trip and see if it happens again. If it does then I will go to the ford dealer that my friend knows the guy at. He might be the assoc. service manager .

I have a feeling that the place I went to is more of a diesel center and they may not be very good with gassers.
