V10 Smoke

A small bit of blue smoke on cold start up on the Triton V10. Is there a breather which may need checking, and where is it situated.

It's not a breather, it's your PVC valve. It's sticking out of a valve cover with three hoses attached. Two of the hoses are heater hoses, that have a pipe wrapped around the valve body. It's heated by coolant. They often can be removed and cleaned with carb cleaner.

My 2000 V10 started smoking on startup (only cold start ay first, then nearly every start) also in 2014 used some oil. I was concerned that it might be valve seals or worse but in 2015 before season I checked the pcv. It rattled like it was supposed to do but I decided to just change it anyway.
Hooray, no more smoke and even better last season absolutely no oil usage.
My pcv does not have the coolant lines, so check to determine which way to go.

It's plugged into a rubber grommet on the passenger side valve cover. It's got at least one rubber hose coming from it, some are warmed by coolant and they have 2 more coolant hoses, not sure which your V10 has.

Here's a poor video, the guy had the camera pointed in the wrong direction for most of it, but you should get the idea.

After taking off the throttle control to gain access, it was not there. It is fitted onto the top of the valve cover, It was clean as a whistle but its been cleaned and checked.
