What is this engine part?

On our 2013 V-10 Triton; what is this in the upper left corner of the front engine compartment? Coolant reservoir? At a stop to fill propane on this trip I noticed it dripping from the little tube sticking down from the bottom. The engine wasn't overheating and I have been watching it at stops since and it has not done it again.

Did you post a picture? If so, it didn't make it. But from the way you described it I think you are right about being the coolant reservoir.

What color was the liquid? Was it slippery?

The AC water drain tube is in that area. Did you have the ac on? If so, that's probably it.

That is the AC/Heater housing. You would expect water, from condensation, to drip out of it.

Heat was on, not air conditioning. What would explain water drip?

If the defrost was on, it could still create condensation. The compressor runs on defrost.

Otherwise you may have a leaking heater core. Was it coolant or water. A tiny taste will tell.

Condensation.

This was on a recent trip of yours. It was probably cold outside and you had the heat on. More than likely it was condensation. This area condensates all the time. A leak is unlikely IMO.
