My 1999 F53 chassis has 245/70R19.5 tires in it. I need to know how wide the wheels are so that i can get a spare at the salvage yard.

According to Bridgestone's size and technical data chart, your size tire takes a 6.75" rim width which yours should be.

I wouldn't recommend getting any size from the yard other than the 245/70R19.5.

I would also check the date stamped on the sidewall and not get any older than a 2 to 3 year old tire for use as a spare only.

Good luck with your search, Jim

Jim, thanks for the info. I will find a tire the same size as what is on there already. I might need to purchase the tire and wheel seperately so I needed to know the wheel size.

You're welcome Andy, and when you shop for a wheel, make sure the center guide hole is the right diameter and that the holes in the wheel match up with the studs on the hub.

Good hunting, Jim
