You have at least two if it is Fuel Injected (FI). One on the frame (high Pressure) and one in the tank.
If you have two tanks then you have one in each tank and one on the frame if FI.
If you have a carburetor then you just have the ones in the tanks.

Thanks Bill, Thats what i thought. any chance you know the correct way to test the wiring? 3 wires black, red and orange the black i belive is ground the orange has a low voltage and pulses on my test light the red one has no power so it may be that but I am not sure .

The black is ground, Orange is the gauge and red is the power to the pump (battery voltage).
Do you have a carburetor or is it Fuel Injected?
How many fuel tanks do you have?

One fuel tank and it has a carburator. The RV is in great shape and well worth the investment in time to get it running but it has only been moved once in 5 years and no one has used it in that time so there are some neglect issues that we will have to deal with.
Thank you for the help
Danny

First thing to do is find the Inertia switch and push the button down on top of it to see if it clicks. If it does it was open and you reset it.

If that was not the problem remove the dog house (engine cover inside the home part) and jumper out the oil pressure switch (image below). Turn on the key and see if you have power at the jumper, Inertia switch and if the fuel pump is running inside the tank. You only have one fuel pump and it is inside the fuel tank.

If the pump is not running at this point do you have power at the jumper or the Inertia switch with the key on?
If you do not have power at the Inertia switch check the blue fuse link at the starter solenoid battery side by trying to pull it apart. If it stretches it is bad.
If you do not have power at the Inertia either side check fuse #3 in the fuse box and see if it has power on both sides with the key on. If not check the Ignition switch.

Let me know what you find so we know what to tell you to do next.
Diagrams attached.

The Fuel pump cutoff relay should be on the safety wall under the hood. It is green in color.
If not there look on the radiator support.

When you find it please post a photo of it and its location.

Fuel Pump Relay:

It may be mounted something like this only you would only have one relay:

Hey Bill I just sent a picture of a solenoid to your email as i did not know how to put it on this forum. Any way this I noticed that was hot to the touch while i was checking things out on the pump and there is voltage on both sides and it stays on when the key is turned off. Could this be realated to the fuel pump problem?

I do not think so. The solenoid photo is of the parallel charge solenoid.
The large wire on one side goes to the POS (+) post of the main battery and the one on the other side goes to the POS (+) side of the AUX battery.

I Have looked everywhere and cannot find the relay. In desperation i jumped a hot wire to the fuel pump from a battery. I jumped the pump from the harness along the frame under the drivers door and then checked the current at the pump and it was ok but could not find it in the engine compartment anywhere. There is a bulge in the wire harness about 4 inches long that is about twice as big as the rest of the harness and does not look abnormal. What do I do next. I enjoy a good challange but this one has me stumped. By the way the wire harness is black taped all the way back.

I may be wrong on this, but on the 350 isn't the inertia sw ( fuel cutoff) located behind the kick panel on the passenger side. That is where it was on my 350, but that was a 94 model.
Hope this helps.

It should be right behind the battery as in the photo below.
At least that is where it is on my 88 & 89 vans.
The other photo in post #8 above was of an 86 Class "C" with two fuel tanks.

i have located the inertia switch but as of yet the feul pump relay excapes me. I will try to get a series of pictures tommarow showing what i am looking at but I have some concerns that there may be a break in the wire or i have not traced the wire back to its start. It runs along the top of the frame where it goes past the break lines and fuel lines and i may not have the correct wire but there are not a lot of red ones to chose from. The RV is about 20 minutes away and in an area without phone or internet please excuse the delay in my responses.
Thanks for the help, we are getting closer.
Danny
