Where to get engine and chassis maintenance
Have a 2011 Monaco Monarch 33 ft on the Ford chassis. Where do you go for service on the engine and chassis?
I live in Thousand Oaks in Ventura County Ca. Any suggestions out her3?
Do people go to the Ford dealers?
Thanks for help.

Steve, here in Vegas I take ours to a Ford Heavy Duty repair shop for any service beyone what I do myself.
You might try calling Ford Customer Service at 800-444-3311 and perhaps they can help you find a service facility in your area.
Good luck and safe travels
Jim

Your best bet is to find a Ford truck cneter. The older the better. Ford got out of the heavy duty truck business in 1998 when it sold out to Sterling. Any dealership that was in the heavy duty truck business before then has all the space and equipment needed to service the F53 chassis.
We go to our local Ford dealer for anything I don't want to tackle. They've promoted RV service and repair to become a major part of their business. It used to be that motorhomes were a small part of their business. Now in the summer months there's usually more motorhomes waiting in the service area than trucks.

I have a very good independent repair shop that does cars, jeeps,, motor homes, etc. One stop for all our vehicles. Reasonable prices and good service. Do some checking around you may have similar shop in your area.

My local Ford dealer does oil/filter/lube for $39. Used to do it myself but at that price I have them do it. Parts alone cost me about $25 & then I have to haul off 7 qts of used oil. $39 well spent.

When I was in Anaheim I used Pete's Road Service. They did an excellent job at the their Fullerton location.
Here is a map of their other locations Pete's Road Service, Inc. :: Tire Service, Mechanical Service, Forklift Service in Southern California

If you can do simple car maintenance you can do a RV, it is the same. If fact oil/filter changes are easier. Lots of access. All the parts are basically the same, just bigger. You could save big bucks, and know it's done right. V10's use 6 qt's oil (1st 2 Gen's) or 7 qts (3rd). <$20!
