Hello all, what is your experience with installing Air Bags to help with rear end sag. I have a slight sag in the rear of my unit and was thinking of installing a set of Firestone Ride Rite to help. The shocks are very good Koni FDS so I know that isn't an issue and the MH isn't loaded very heavy. I would like to hear some feedback on airbags thanks.

Airbags will help. I run about 35# in mine when running light and around 60# when I have the scooter and water on board. Transfer as much weight forward as possible & still remain within front axle weights.

I'm deep in the process of installing a set of Air Lift bags on my MH as I write. It's a bigger job than I thought.

I don't have a rear end sag.. at least not on the MH.. but, I needed to raise my rear end about 4-5" to get the MH in and out of my driveway.

I think your idea would be very beneficial.. Go for it

It will definitely help your rear end sag, and a plus is that it will also help overall handling of the rig.

I have airbags on the rear of my E-450. It took a little while to find the right air pressure for my normal load. I now use 55 lbs and find it perfect. They make a lot difference in handling. I can't honestly say if they would help arch your springs. Ford has fairly straight springs on the rear.

With the Ride rites on my '02 Brave, I could raise it up about 2 inches. I did it more for the ride and only ran about 25 psi to take a little load off the springs.

Had them on old RV loved them they were GREAT would like to put rear set on new to me RV it sits VERY LOW in the rear. I had to take the tow bar off to just be able to drive it through yard won't go up drive at all. Yeah I know should have checked before buying the answer is I did WIFE said this is the RV she wanted. It was my job to make it work with the house.

GreatWhite let me know how it turns out really need to do mine just not sure with it having TagAxle it seems none of the kits say anything about this so more research needed before I spend the money and buy WRONG kit.

Have you thought of calling the two kit companies? I'm sure their tech help will guide you well. I don't know anything about the chassis manufacturer for your rig.. I think once you find that out you'll be on the right road..
