Wiring question - 2013 chassis

I want to use the parking light (marker light) circuit as the switchable 12v source to trip the power relay for driving lights. Anyone know what color the parking light wire is coming off the light switch?

On my 2001 its brown (BN), comes off of pin 14 on the ford supplied switch. (Diagram is for a 2001)

Your DRLs are wired different than mine. Yours should be controlled by the body computer.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

If I understand what you are trying to do you are trying to put a switch in so you can turn off the running lights? If that is the case you could go under the hood and cut the feed to the running lights and extend it back to a switch on the dash and then run a new feed from the on side of the switch.

@Waiter21 - Thanks! I'll start probing at that one. I'll post up my result.

@DABrooks - No, I don't want to be able to switch off the parking lights/marker lights. I am installing driving lights. I'm looking for a 12v source to use as a switchable source to energize the relay I've added to power the driving lights. As I want the driving lights to be on with either high or low beams, and I don't want them to be on when the headlights aren't on (DRLs don't count!) as there's no need for them, I figured the parking light power coming off the switch would be perfect as it's only hot when the headlights (high or low beam) or the parking lights themselves are on.
