2005 Beaver Patriot
Hi all,
Just purchased my second MH. Upgraded to a diesel, 40' Beaver Patriot.
Starting a baseline. Got the engine oil and filter done last weekend. Going after the Allison 3000 next.
I have a question about the hyd jack system. Manual has no mention of a filter. Is this correct ? I am not talking about the power steering/ fan system.

Mine has one hydraulic system for fan and both front slides. There is a filter mounted directly below the tank on the passenger side all the way aft.

gemert,
I think that is the filter for the fan/power steering. I have another tank upfront by the generator just for the jacks. But cant find a filter for that system.

Rayan, Last summer we bought 'PASTNTS', our 2005 Beaver Patriot Thunder Lexington 40' w/ tag. Love the MH! Hope you get to enjoy yours soon!

Thanks Cruzbill. I picked it up in Texas and drove it home to Southern CA. Really enjoyed the air ride. Still reading the manual to figure everything out and establishing a baseline for PM work.

I have the old SMC hydraulic jack to axle system and air leveling. My SMC system control panel went bad so I had a manual system installed. Last week I used the SMC system and forgot to turn it off. I heard a "whistling" in the back and it turned out to be the hydraulic pump still running. I've looked for a tank in front before after reading other posts about it. I've never found one. It may be there but I can't find it. That coupled with the sound in the back when the SMC system was left on leads me to believe that it is the same tank. Again, I'm not an expert and even identical coaches of the same year are made differently sometimes so take it for what it's worth.

Haven't had a chance to verify the tank up front yet. Busy with other stuff like registering at DMV. Boy that hurt. Front end alignment. Was planning on a tranny fluid change today but raining out so maybe tomorrow. I will look around for the RVA jack reservoir then and get back to post. I have air leveling also.

Look on the passenger side of the generator. It should be kind of snuggled up close to the Step well.

I can't see them using your fan/ steering hyd system, for your slides.
Can you only move your slides in / out with the engine running?

Found the RVA jack Hyd tank. Passenger side next to generator. Does this also run the 3 slides. Engine must be off to run slides.

Good question. I can't answer as I don't have hyd jacks.
So my hyd pump behind the front cap is just for the two front slides.
