I am looking at buying a 2006 Signature with ISX 600 motor. What are the pro and cons of this motor?

That is a step above the ISM-500 and is considered to be a "Million Mile Motor" and it should never give you any problems. You will love the Signature. I have a 2004 Signature with the Detroit Series 60 motor.

Something to consider is before you buy it to arrage to take it into a Cummins dealer and have him check out the motor. A lot of them actually have a Chassis Dyno that they can but the MH on and run it. They can also checkout the Onan generator. I had a Detroit Diesel Dealer check out mine and it only cost me $200 and included updating the motor software .They also checked the transmission

Make sure you get a 30 or 90 day 100% dealer warranty and take it on a short trip and learn the system enough to test them all so you can get the dealer to fix the problems. Especially check out the Aqua-Hot system on both electric and diesel and make sure it all works.

If you have any questions about systems on the Signature feel free to email me directly at mike.c@mindspring.com and if I can't answer it I have several other Signature owners that can.

I second Mike's recommendation to take it in to a competent dealer and have the engine checked out. Even the best engines, if they haven't been serviced regularly, can become nightmares. Small investment for peace of mind.

Sorry for the late reply. I love my ISX. Accelerating up 6 % grades is a gas! Only downside is the barrels of oil (once a year or 15,000 miles) needed for an oil change.
