We have a 2008 Holiday Rambler, Ambassador, 38 PDQ, Roadmaster Chassis. I'm installing a Roadmaster, Brakemaster, 9100 proportionate braking system. I'm having trouble locating the air brake relay valve. It says in the insturctions the valve is located near the master cylinder, with an oper port for connection. Can anyone help? Labor day or I would call Roadmaster...Thanks in advance..

I just installed the same brake system last week. Go to the back axle. You have a brake pod in front of the axle at each rear wheel. From the brake pod, follow the air lines up from it. They will go up to a valve. That's the relay valve. If there's a port not being used (it will have a plug in it that take an allen wrench, or hex wrench to open it. Loosen the plug, press on the brakes. Air should escape when the brake pedal is pushed. If so, that's the place to put the fitting. If you don't have a port not being used, you can screw one of the air lines out of the relay valve, install a 1/2" T fitting between the hose and the relay valve, and install the Brakemaster fitting in the T fitting. Mine was done using the T fitting.

That's assuming that yours is the same as mine.

Jim, thanks for your help...I found it right where you said, above the rear axle, and I do have an open plug that is removable with a hex wrench. I'll start it up and check this weekend....Thanks again JC
