Can I ask why you had to replace the back and now the front brake drums. How many miles are on your coach??

I own a 2002 Windsor so I'm curious. My brakes & drums look and perform fine. I have 100k on my coach, most are highway miles (for at least the time I've owned it). I use the Jac Brake religiously, even slowing at intersections, off ramps, entering speed zones etc.

The person we bought the coach from did not disclose that he had burned the brakes
The inspection only gave us a measurement of the pads.
Found out the rear drums were beyond serviceability.

We replaced the rear drums and shoes. The front drums were still OK to use
but replaced the shoes.
Would like to replace the front drums just to keep the coach in great shape.
I was told they were $1000/drum.

There will be an identification tag on the front dead center of the front axle. With that information, you should be able to go to a place that supplies truck parts and find out about the brake drums.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I guess this is one of the risks of buying a used coach. Fortunately on my 2002 Windsor the drums & pads seem to be in good condition. I had my coach checked as soon as I bought it and have monitored the pad thickness since. Braking is good, I had to do a fast stop this last week and it went straight with rapid deceleration.
