How To ID Bad Trailing Arms?
We are shopping for a 2001-2004 DP. Some of the models we are considering were included in the Roadmaster Trailing Arm Recall. How can we confirm the trailing arms are Source TR-1003 and not the factory Gold, R-Way or MCC?

I know that in Calif. if you don't have the recall taken care of, you can't register your vehicle. You may want to contact your local DMV and give them the VIN. They may adhere to the same rules as CA. Also, isn't Monaco back in business?

I tought there was a big difference between the two, the original is a curved type arm and Source is a straight arm?

there are some photos on the source site that show the old arms against the new arms and show examples of the cracked arms..once you've seen the photos there is no mistaking the Source arms from either the original or the Monoco retrofit/replacement arms.

If it's a tag axle it's not a 4 bag chassis. The r4r or the rr4r have never had a tag axle.

Chad nailed it. Tags are for the largest front and rear axle rated loads. Not some thing they did with 4 bags

Mine was pulling hard left, then not so much then left again now it pulls right a good bit. Something is shifting. Going to take it to Josams and look at welds and bushings.
I've been trying to find some info on this phenomenon and didn't know if trailing arks could cause this?
It did seem to change its pull if I raised the tag and lowered it again.
It was also the next day.

Jeff and yes there has been a few of the Windsors, Dynasty and above that has had cracks in the rear area of trailing arm and frame , most have been where the bracket welds to the rear end that the trail arm attaches to. If you are a member of Monacoers there is a picture of a 02 Windsor that had that problem and fixed in the file section.

Many thanks to all who responded. We made our purchase last summer - a 2002 Dutchstar 40ft w/350 Cummings. It had been garaged and had 54,000 miles. First trip was just short of three weeks visiting parks in Utah. Went great.
