Hi friends, Only had this my first diesel a short time, and just got the Pac Brake to work! Only used it a little, and dont know that if I have to push the floor switch every time I need it, or if its automatic after you set it on that trip, untill you stop the rig or turn on the cruise control? Thanks, allegro5 96 Dyn.

Hold the pedal down and it is on, release it and the PacBrake is off. Your coach may or may not be programed to select 2nd gear when you engage the pedal. If not, just arrow down to 4th or 3rd on a steep decent and use the pedal. The trans will only downshift to the next lower gear when it is safe to do so and won't overspeed the engine. So, no worry there. Same if the trans is already programmed to select 2nd gear. No worry. If it is not programmed as such, Cummins, or Allison, can change it so it will. Do you recall which way it is?
