Looking for parts

A friend of mine has a 2001 Holiday Rambler DP that is supposed to be on a Roadmaster chassis. He needs some front end work done, but truck service shop he took it to in San Antonio said that they could not locate the parts. He keeps his MH in Pensacola. Does anyone know a source to both help identify part numbers and to purchase the parts from. He wants to sell the MH and get a 5th wheel, but wants to make sure the front end is solid before passing it on to another owner.

More info on the original coach, Model and length, what specific parts are needed, or even pics would help. There are several RV salvage operations in the US that have parts available for older coaches, as well as many after-market suppliers of chassis parts that could possibly help. Glad to do some digging for you if you can be more specific about what is needed.

Thanks M. I will check with my friend and see what he wants to do and get back to you. Right now the MH is in Pensacola and he is back here in Alaska. Take it easy.

1) Try Monaco 877-466-6236 for parts numbers.
2) Try Veurinks 800-822-5292 for cheaper factory parts and possible parts numbers.
3) Try Source Engineering 541-935-0308 for parts help.
4) Iron Horse RV 210-657-1996 in San Antonio has a very good reputation.
5) There is are several Monaco products groups on Yahoo Groups. I think the best is Monacoers which has some parts numbers for various models. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience on Monacoers. They got me out of a jam with wiring diagrams.
GOOD LUCK!

Your friend needs a "build sheet" from Monaco. It lists part numbers for all the moveable parts bolted to a Roadmaster chassis (axle, steering, etc.) none of which are mfg. by Monaco (Roadmaster).

That is strangely interesting. Most Roadmaster chassis used a Dana truck front axle assembly, a TRW or Sheppard truck steering box, and standard truck drag links and tie rod ends. There should be a data plate on the front of the axle in the middle.

Many Monaco coach owners say that Josams in Florida is THE place to go for alignment work, so Josams would probably be an excellent source for these parts.

Our 2001 Ambassador 38 PBT had a Neway front end assembly. Parts may be readily available through them if not Roadmaster. Hope this may help. Bert
