Our 04 HR Imperial is on the 8 bag Roadmaster Chassis. I am interested in responses from other owners of the same chassis who have installed the MCU units and an evaluation of the results and appx cost of the installation. We recently had service done on our coach at Redlands Truck service and they were selling them.

MCU ( Motion Control Units). They go on the air lines from the air bags. They slow the rapid release of air on turns and going in and out of driveways. They reduce the major sway and rebound that most see on coaches with airbags.

To answer the original poster, I have a 4 bag and not an 8 bag system, but it has made a vast improvment. I assume that an 8 bag would see a similar improvment. I do not know if an 8 bag has each set on each wheel tied together with a single air line per set of two bags or there are 8 individual air lines. If there is one line per set, you would only need 4 MCUs. If they are individual, you would need 8. Price varies by the size of the air line.

I've heard others refer to the motion as the "WalMart wobble". The service writer was running thru all the "extras" they sell and it kind of skimmed past me so I didn't get a cost estimate on them. Should have paid attention. I'd still like to hear from an 8 bag chassis owner with them.
