Need some more help ,,,,,,, 2003 HR Neptune 30 . When I press the "air Dump" switch it only lowers the rear bags but the fronts remain full . Anyone know where the solenoid is located or could it be a fuse ?. Any help would be appreciated .
Thanks

Jeff

Should be up front on the firewall and may look like the picture. If you have air up and disconnect the lines you may get a sudden blast of air. If your step is air operated you may have another that looks like the air dump.

It may need to be cleaned our by disconnecting the air lines and squirting some WD-40 in it. But first check the electrical connection to it and make sure it is getting power.

Rex :

Thanks for the information . Couple more questions . I assume the power to the valve is 12 Volts DC ?. I will also check my step as I believe it is air operated . I have an air tank in the rear of the coach just above the rear axle . Is this the only storage tank for air or is there another for the front ?. If I am to disconnect the front dump valve for cleaning I would think you should drain the system completely of any remaining air for safety reasons . Thanks for all the information .
Regards:
Jeff

1. Valve IS 12 volts
2. The required 2nd tank should be near the front axle
3. Yes dump air before work.

Well I checked the front solenoid . I have 12 Volts to the valve . I removed the valve and cleaned the inside and blew air through it to make sure it was clear . I then applied 12 volts to it on the bench . The solenoid clicks and appears to work properly . I then re installed the solenoid and dumped the system . Again the rear bags released but the front remained full . I am assuming the dump solenoid line goes somewhere under the coach and ties to a "T" line which runs to each front air bag . If this is correct the line from the "T" to my solenoid must be kinked or plugged . Any insight would be appreciated . Another question is this .....If I completely drain my air tank will the bags be drained as well?. I didn't know if the air in the bags were isolated by their own valve or control . Thanks for all the help .....

Jeff
