Pure air Plus to Wabco
Has anyone done this conversion with a Holset Type E compressor. I am thinking about attempting this. From the instruction sheet found online it says to use R955207 with a Type E compressor. I can't find where anyone has used that model on here. So that leads me to believe either there is a way around it with the R955205 or no one that has done the conversion has the same compressor I have.

Tried a Wabco without success. Went with a new Haldex Pure Air Plus and all is well except for the price of maintenance. Could not find a 1200 E locally so the Haldex was my option for a quick repair. Hope this helps someone.

I also went with the Haldex pure air. I thought about using something else but didn't think it would fit the space. Mine is close to the jack and transmission.

Which one? Compressor or dryer? Compressor should have a tag on it. The dryer canister will typically have a name brand on it, Wabco or Haldex.

There is confusing and conflicting literature on the Wabco web site.
Several people have done that in Monaco coaches, which I think come with the Holset type E compressor. I'm not sure which number dryer they used, but they are labeled Wabco 1200.
I a Wabco on my bench and am thinking of doing the switch over too.

The Wabco instructions I had required a replacement valve on the rear air tank. I replaced it and still no go for the Wabco. After further research it said if you have a Holset type E compressor to use a different dryer. When I replaced it with a new Haldex everything works like it’s supposed to. Since I’ve had the coach, ( 5 years) I don’t think the compressor had shut off. I can now tell the difference in tone of the engine when the dryer purges.

So, what did or didn't work, when you tried the Wabco dryer?
Don't know how much more life will be left in that compressor, if it was working every second the engine was running for over 5 yrs.

Not sure either on the compressor but it is good right now. I ended up putting a new Pure air Plus like came on it back on. There may have been a work around for the Wabco but I didn't figure it out. I was told Wabco does make a specific dryer for the type E compressor but it was not readily available to me and the Pure air Plus was. So I took what was the easy road for me at the time since we were days away from leaving on a long trip.
