Just got home from picking up my motorhome after haveing the REK installed. Here's my thoughts.....for what they're worth.
1. The proposing was so bad before, that the suspension was bottoming out at times..........NOW......it's 100% better.....this is the area that I noticed the biggest difference in.
2. The bridge lips and roadway seams are barely noticable now. I would say a good 80% improvement and maybe even more so.

3. Moderately rough road! Ride was improved 70-80%
4. Rough concrete road.....Ride was probably 50% improved

OVERALL.......I'd say 80% improvement in ride. Was it worth it...in my opinion....YES......It rides like I would expect an airbag suspension to ride. No more of the bone jarring ride.
Brian

I am pleased to hear such a GOOD review concerning our Sponsor, Source Engineering's products!

For those folks up in the North West, look up the Rally that Source is putting on called:
Chassis On The Green!

Got it done at Sacramento Truck just off I-80 in Sacramento and I don't remember the cost.....I bought the kit direct from Source engineering......I think the installation was $700 but I really don't remember, and the paper work is in the motorhome at the storage faciality. Sorry

I just today priced the cost of replacement arms and the REK kit from Source. Colton Truck Terminal quoted me the following for my 03 Neptune 30 ft :

Source Arms 1911.00
REK w/ Bilstiens 2195.00
Freight 100.00
Labor for both 1380.00
Tax ( Jerry Brown) 359.00

Total 5945.00 + -

This is a tough nut to swallow as I just invested in the coach . Seems like the Source REK is engineered to interact with their arms and provide a much improved ride . Interesting they include with their kit the Bilstiens and not the Koni's . Is this due to the added cost ?. Not sure . So I guess I need to rob the ATM ( mine) and spend the $$ to make Monaco's poor engineering right .

Jim stated that the Bilsteins were specifically engineered for the REK and they are not off the shelf units.

REK and arms installed ....I think the ride improved 50 % . It is not as harsh when hitting sharp bumps . The shock dampening is improved and it handles the freeway bumps better . My arms had a 3/8 inch crack in one of the arms so they had started . It was still a painful $6000.00 bill !
