Hi folks,
My rubber boots on my steering ball joints are gone (well, there are a few bits of rubber left) on my 96 monaco.

I've replaced several ball joints on cars, how hard are they to replace on a MH? Any hidden issues other than just being significantly larger? I'm a pretty serious DIY kinda guy bye the way.

I'll let you know as soon as I find the rubber boots! I called Monaco about them and they were suppose to call me back if they found them.
It's been a week now!
I'm gonna look at the local truck places and see if they can/get/order/find them for me.
My front end is a Rockwell model FD.

sjholt,
My front end is a Rockwell also, but I don't have any specifics here at the office.

I have no indication that the ball joint itself is bad, just that the rubber boots are deteriorated (gone).

Will you replace them yourself?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, give Roadmaster a call. They built the chassis and should be able to tell you what you need to know. They can also give you a part number and sell you the part.

Their number is 800-866-6226
