I'm the owner of a 40 Ft 2000 Diplomat with a RR8R chassis with about 65K on it. I'm trying to find out if others have experienced the same issues that I've noticed latey. The issue is that when going into a more than average braking situation there a noise that eleminates from under the front end (a clunk) and then I feel the steering wheel shift slightly at which time the coach starts to vear off course. In order to bring the coach back on course requires steering wheel correction.

Obviously, this is not a good situation to be in and needs immediate attention. Other than the the Monaco repair facility in Fla can any one recommend a repair shop in the Maryland/Delaware area?

Monaco in Florida cannot help you with a chassis problem. Take it to:

Josam Truck Frame & Alignment
8849 Exchange Dr, Orlando, FL
(407) 438-7020

They are the very best. Sorry I don't have a recommendation closer to where you are.

I agree with Rex and also recommend you take the MH to a good front end shop that is familiar with truck type front ends. No magic in the Roadmaster chassis and a good front end shop should be able to help. If you are still in warranty certainly contact Monaco and work out service warranty details. I think you will find that a non-Monaco shop will probably be a better choice. Our '06 Endeavor wandered all over the road and Wildwood was just about worthless in resolving the problem. A local shop realigned the front end (different the Monaco) and the difference was like night and day. After 20k miles the coach still drives well and no abnormal tire wear.
