There are 3 types of brakes common on DPs.
Full air brake .Air pressure activates the brakes. Drum brakes on units of your vintage. Air disc brakes on newer chassis.
Hydraulic assist.( Hydro Boost ) Fluid pressure from the power steering , helps activate the master cylinder. 4 wheel disc brakes most common.
Air over assist. ( similar to a cars Vacuum assist brake system only air pressure) does the job of boosting the brake fluid pressure . Again 4 wheel disc most common.
If your brake master cylinder is attached to an air chamber 10 to 13" in diameter 12" long, you have the Air over assist.
Nothing wrong with any of the systems, on units in your weight category, I've seen Hydro Boost on MHs of 37'. But at that length full air is most common.
