Mission

You didn't miss much in Haiti. Had to find your own housing and food, which
is not an easy task in Haiti. Came back with a staff infection and a parasite.
At least in Iraq I was provided housing and meals at the mess hall. Medical care pretty much non existent in Haiti and you were on your own.

This is year 20 for me. Hoping to retire in June, but they keep trying to talk me in to staying for "just one more year".

36 years with Sacramento County Sheriff (CA) Retired in 2012 as a Chief Deputy, did a stint as Chief of Police for Citrus Heights CA. DW also did 26 years with SSD, retired as a captain. Anyone know of any RV clubs for LEO's or former LEO with a chapter in NorCal?

Just found this thread. I retired in 2013 as a juvenile probation officer working in the juvenile hall. Not as intense as those working the streets, I did my job with out a gun or pepper spray. Loved my job, but hated my supervisors.

I guess I'm responsible for starting this thread. It's great to see the good participation. I've been away from the forum for a while but I plan on trying to keep up with the conversation better. The wife and I are still not able to full time RV yet cause she is still working. Hope everyone on the thread has fun. Let's try to keep everyone up to date on your camping locations so we can visit. I will be in Hiawassee, GA. in mid October (14-18) at Bald Mtn RV Resort. Hope to see some new friends.

Hi all, retired last fall after 28 years on the job in Oregon (municipal police force). Just upgraded our class C to a 2017 Pace Arrow 33D and got the last kid into college so we are now starting our second courtship on the road. Glad to find this post.

Hi All,
Retired from small city PD in Wisconsin April of 2006, after 26 years and one day. Just recently bought a diesel pusher and heading out west this summer with my wife and hopefully the motorcycle hanging on the back.
