Any even better than lighting is a kid who can 'ham' it up.
Here son #3 pretends a petrified log is rolling over on him. Again its back to 2001 with poor digital resolution. Taken in Petrified National Park in Arizona.

Sky_watcher.
That's a beautiful picture, with all the different colors. I love wild flowers.

I took this back in 2001 with a Kodak digital, plus a home made closeup lens. I was interested in the W or M on the head of this spider.
While camping this weekend I saw this and was wondering if the W or M on the head had anything to do with the spiders writing?
The writing was done by the same spider, Golden Orb. Maybe that's it's signature

Ron,
Wow, that's a pretty impressive spider shot with a homemade close-up set up!
I have seen a lot of spider webs in my time(I photograph those too), but I've never seen that kind of "writing" in them.

I stand to be corrected
The photo with the writing was not done by the Golden Orb spider,it was done by a Writing Spider. That just goes to show how little I know about spiders
BTW the photo of the web with the writing and the above spider was taken with my Canon XTi on the close up setting

Saw a Golden Orb this past weekend at HHI. That's a big spider, but harmless to humans.
We have lots of writing spiders around here, but not this year. Strange.

Ok, I'll supply a few of my fav's.
The first few are favorite scenes from CG's we've stayed at, the others, are shots I took from our trees last spring, after messin' with the macro setting on the digital camera.

Thes Pix made me think, and I found a few of mine that I like. Not as good as some of these but here they are.

Emma won best of breed in a just for fun dog show.
Of course she was the only Bulldog entered.
She was about 9 weeks old at the time.

My first Zebra
Butterfly that is
I have been chasing these around for several years but never could get one to stay still long enough for me to get a close up shot.
Finally
