Hummingbird,

This is for you, I hope you like Hummingbirds

About our two black cats, I really never cared that much for black cats until we got these two.

They were wild, we had to trap them and tame them. They have really turned into great fury companions and keep us well entertained

Ron,
My photos of hummingbirds pale in comparison to this one of yours. Maybe it's because the feeder I used had a perch they could rest on, and so I never got any pics of them hovering. Great photo!

indian654321,

We were in New Mexico in 2008, primarily around the Santa Fe area. We found similar landscape to what you've posted when we went to Abiquiu, which I simply call Georgia O'Keefe country. It is just spectacular out there, and it's easy to see when you're standing in that landscape where she took her inspiration.

Is This Your Toad?

Just Kidding... Some poor guys R.R. sitting at the town square in Santa Fe. Shot this a couple of months back and just getting around to processing a few more.

That's a nice looking set of wheels, nice job on the image.

Jon,

Nice Hummingbird shot.

Lorraine,

That Hummingbird was shot with one of my first digital cameras, a Kodak, back in 2001 while camping in NE Georgia.

If I remember correctly, I think I was using my homemade close up lens

Ron,
Is this an abstract that makes you think it's one thing when it's really something else?

If it is living, it is a nocturnal something with huge pupils. Otherwise, it looks like a mask with a lot of noisy background.

Ron - It's some kind of beetle (the back of one)...at least that's what it looks like to me. They often have "camouflage" like that.

Great guess,

I thought this would run a little longer, but too many smart people out there

Google Image Result for http://naturalnotes3.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/click-beetle.jpg

This was shot with one of my first digitals back in 2001 , a Kodak, and a homemade close up lens made from the lense out of a 7x35 binoculars.

Lorrain took a guess and was on the right track with the decieving eyes.

Thanks for giving it a shot,

Ron
