Color combination is real striking!
I am 1/4 scale enthusiast, but lack time to build from a kit. Currently getting my Flying King w/OS91 and Super Chipmunk w/OS160fx ready for the upcoming season.
Also new Aurora 9 TX which is turning out to be interesting. The adjustable throttle curve should help to find sweet spot for touchdowns.

DLE 30 for power and no flaps. I built a Super Chipmunk with a 100 inch wing span with the Art School scheme back in the early 90's. Great airplanes. The 160 is a great sounding motor.

I probably should put this in another Thread but since I've posted most of my replies to this subject in this Thread I'll post it here.

I'm still experimenting with trying to shoot the videos with a $10.00 spy cam.

I'm also still working on the captions.

I fly them all the time. I like my Sig Four Star 120, Saito 120 best, but the micros are also fun. My current fav micro is a T-28.

I fly nothing but the micros. I did fly my phantom to try and take a video of one of my flying fields. About the only ones I don't fly much any more are my micro heli's.

I sold my T-28 so I could buy the Mossie, my hangar was getting to big

I really like the T-28 though.

I'm still in my learning stage with trying to fly my 4 channel ones with ailerons. One of these days I'm going to attempt to fly inverted

From one Del to another all I can say is Wow that's a good looking job.

Something you may want to try. Since the Navy decommissioned the F-14 Tomcats some of their museums are now allowing civilians to fly the F-14 simulators.

The Naval Air Station Museum in Pensacola, about 10 miles from me, have some set up with manned controllers that assist you as well as put you through maneuvers such as carrier landings and the like. A lot of fun for 20 bucks.

I fly planes a little, but my passion if for RC Helis. I try to attend 4 or 5 fun flys a year, and have a great time just flying and meeting folks. I hope to merge the RC Helis and RVing together

Chris,

There are a few heli enthusiast here on the forum.

I haven't done too much in the way of helis, only a couple of small micros, and I haven't flown them in quite some time.

Probably forgot how by now

Ron

My husband has been flying rc planes for at least 20 years and now that he's retired he does it almost everyday!! He usually takes a plane with him when we go camping...it usually draws a nice little crowd!!!! It would be nice if the guys that do this could meet at the beach or somewhere like once a year , so they could all get together and fly!!! It would be so much fun to meet new people with the same hobby!!

Here are a couple of my builds. Both Carden's, 40% Extra 330, and a 38% Yak.

You can see a photo of my helis on post #115. I was the same way, I never had too much of an interest in flying planes but I've always been in love with vertical flight. I dove into the RC heli world for about two seasons and through the support of friends, family, and a good 12 step program I'm now a recovering helihaulic. I've been sober for so long that I'm afraid to fly my surviving Vario Bell 47 nose in, in a couple of years I might need training sticks

Been Flying for a long time, two years ago I gave up the nitro and went to large scale gas. I have a 33% scale extra 260 powered by a DA-85 and a 30% 260 I just finished last week.
