Weber is by far the best quality portable that will fit down below. We have had many small BBQ grills that were less expensive and they failed after 2-3 yrs. Our current Weber has been cooking with quality performance for 5 yrs with many more ahead. Just do a major clean at the beginning of each season and away you go!

After experiencing the Weber portable performance we purchased a full size for our deck and are just as satisfied with it.

Safe travels and THE JOY IS IN THE RIDE

I picked up my Weber Q200 with it's folding stand for $25.00!

One sunny day I was driving by the Salvation Army during my lunch hour and thought they were going to have a BBQ/party for employees or customers. The Q was sitting out in front of the store.

I drove by two days later and realized that it was just siting out there for sale. Some nice person who never used it made a donation. It's been my $25 Weber Q for the past four years.

It's a consistent and easy to use grill for large quantities of chicken, steaks, burgers, hot dogs.

For portable use in the motorhome for smoking meats and slow roasting I use a charcoal Cobb grill. It's what I used in my RV before I acquired the Weber. It's very compact and versatile, (grill, steam, smoke, roast), and good when feeding four or less people.

I love my tiny charcoal fired Cobb grill when it's appropriate!

A friend of mine is a die-hard lump charcoal, ("briquettes and pellets are for amateurs"), person. He carries a full sized Big Green Egg, and a dissembled wood cart for it in his basement.

We have a MiniMax Bog Green Egg we take on some trips. Most of the time, it's our Weber Q.

Do you compete in KCBS? What's your team name? All those are great and Webber makes about the best portable charcoal grills. I have an 18" kettle I'm fond of as well as my Liberty smokers but I compete too.

Best BBQ for RV'ing

Ceramic cookers do everything well from 225 low and slow to 900 degree searing but they r heavy and awkward to transport. By bbq, are you referring to steaks, chops and dogs, or brisket, ribs and butts? Bbq to me is the latter

I don't compete any longer. I am very close to retiring again. I retired from the USAF in 95, and retiring from civil service, for the USAF also, Jul 31, 2016. It's time for me to kick back, do some fishing, RV'ing, playing in the dunes with our sand car, and just doing nothing. I started working at 11 with a paper route, and never stopped. I think I'm about to earn all this time off!!!

(I will still cook at home for friends and our social gatherings)

I have a Stay a While tee with a hose to connect the grill (and an external tank so I don't have to move the motor home to get propane) so it will be connected to whichever one I am using at the time.
Did the same. Webber Q from Amazon connected to the coach propane tank with a 10' hose. 2 minutes to set up, 5 minutes to warm up and we're cooking with gas. Power washed each spring and good to go for another summer camping season.

I have the Q as well as two small charcoal Webers and depending on the amount of people and what is cooked I make my choice.

Thank you for your support. It was my pleasure to serve this great nation. Knowing how I'd end up in the end, like now, I'd go back and do it all over again too
