Camping and computer games...

Does anyone get into playing PC games when camping and snowbirding? I'm talking about the Match-3, IHOG and MahJong games sold everywhere from $9.99 to $19.99. We're finding them more entertaining than a lot of the stuff on TV. We're also big readers getting most books from Goodwill for a fraction of the price in the stores.

When the weather keep us inside our RVs or we're tired of sitting outside swatting mosquitoes we have to do something.

Dominoes and card games. Cards both with the DW and on the computer. DW likes word searches and I do Sudoku(in ink.. little harder) and we read a lot.

I have about 600 books on my Kindle, only paid for about 10 of them. Amazon has tons of free books every day, if it even sounds remotely good, I'll download it for reading later. Sometimes a book may only be free for a day or two, then you have to pay for it.

Also, many campgrounds have a book exchange. Take one, leave one.

DH likes the computer card games. He's played them for years. And he likes the Jahjong games. I go for the Match-3 and IHOGs. These computers are so amazing. You can do so many things with them. Sometimes I wonder how we lived without them. And books! Reading has been a lifelong pleasure for both of us.

I heard those Kindles were great for RVing. You can carry hundreds of books for a few ounces of weight.

The last 2 Resorts we stayed for the winter had those exchanges. There was also a section for movie exchanges at the last place. We got to see a few good movies while there. We buy those cheap movie DVDs at WalMart, some having as many as 8 movies (grade B horror flicks ) per pack for $4.99. We just donate them after watching them. The places we camp, mostly COEs, don't have those exchanges.

I play Rummikub and MahJong Trails on Facebook. I also got hooked on Candy Crush. I can play on my phone also. My DH is not into playing games, so I have to play with others online. LOL I read all the time and either do the cg swap or go to goodwill or flea markets for my books. I also like to do jigsaw puzzles when I know we will be in one place for awhile. We won't talk about my crochet and knitting addiction......

We carry about 40 to 50 card, board and dice games with us. We keep one of those cloth grocery bags with some to take into restaurants and bars. Yep it gets conversations going and we even have taught some of them to others in bars.
We also play several games on the computers. Usually it's MMO's that we play, ie Wizard101 and Guild Wars 1 & 2.
We also both have phones that we can pull out to also play games on while waiting for appointments.
Then both Thom and I have kindles on the same account. That means that if one of us buys a book then both of us can download and read it for the same price and at the same time.
