Catch Some Wind, Kite Flying

Kite Flying is one of my passions. It goes rather well with living fulltime in a motorhome.

Hello Gramps,

I am a kite flyer as well. Thank you for your post. I currently have about 5 kites stored in my Motorhome. My favorite is a simple parachute kite that fills with air and fly very high. I have two 2 line stunt kites one I have not flown yet. We camp out in the middle of noware for me to fly.

I am New to the RV seen. I just purchased my old RV in 2016 and learning more about it every time I take it out. Unfortiantly I have an older RV and something breaks everytime I take it out. I am learning.

Thanks,

Bill

Bill, yes Motorhomeing is a never ending learning experience. I wrote about that too.

I have, about 16 kites, many of them small, like three Prism Triad Kites, and two pocket parasails, two small 60 inch delta wings. Three same size, three ft box kites, which came in a package of three from a going out of business kite maker. Two more are on the way from China and I have ten nylon diamond kites on order for folks here at Deer Creek Motorcoach resort. We are having a kite day on Oct 6, should be fun, as long as there is a five plus mph wind.

Thanks for the reply. We should keep up with each other.

Derrick.

Oohhh, we fly too! My husband flies all kinds of kites and has made a bunch. Paring down the "kite cave" when we go full-time is going to be a challenge.

You've got me wondering just how many kites we have! We have a core group of 20 or so. Then there's probably another 10+ that need repair. Who knows what all is in that room.

Once in awhile, I will throw up a delta. Most of the time, I fly dual lines.

Together we fly pairs. We do not compete though. We toyed with creating a ballet routine, but never got serious with it. Maybe once we're full-time, we will spend more time with it.

I like my large kites the best, two 8 meter black Octopus kites, a five by five ft six point star which I just purchased. An 8 ft winged box kite, kind of like a conye kite with windsocks. Long tailed kites, I like to. I have a triple diamond coming with dual 15 meter tails. I like the show stoppers in the sky I guess.

Yes, you do like show stoppers. It sounds like you're on your way to the "kite-of-the-month" club. [emoji6]

Me Too

Hi All,
I (we) also like to fly. As you can tell by my user name I really like flying Revolution 4 line stunt kites (~16 kites), singles, pairs and team. We also fly all others kinds, Rok, delta, laundry, you name it.
