All set up at Texas Motor Speedway. Our site is paved, with water and electric. Most tracks, however, are dry camping. Check with the track, there should be trucks that come around for your black tank. Water trucks for fresh water. You may also be able to rent a porta-pottie. The main thing is to get to a track and have fun.

Did you have any trouble getting into your site?
Looks like you brought all your friends with you.

Have a great time and enjoy the races.

LoL. That's 4 days prior to the race... I am sure they will be full up, if not already.
What did the space cost you for Texas? I was really wanting to go there this year.

We go to Dover for both races of the year. Usually go Wed or Thurs and stay until Monday morning. Many people go there the Saturday or Sunday before the races and stay for the week.
It is all 'dry' camping and is close to the track. We enjoy watching Nascar people as you see every walk of life there. The very first person I ever saw there was 'The Donald' coming in on his copter. That was before we camped there. For some unknown reason, 'The Donald' was picked up by a golf cart and we had to walk. What's up with that?
During Nascar's heyday, we were told that there were 32,000 campers and motorhomes parked in and around Dover. Probably less than half that today. Amazing how far some people come to see the races.

Gerry& Pat, I guess when you say "dry camping" you mean no water, but plenty of beer HA! I did notice a drop off of the number of campers. I only did one race in Sept. and tied it in with Sunfest in OC Maryland. Drop off may also be because of NASCAR ticket cost. Not cheap any more, lots of empty seats. I'm still a fan after 45 years.

Did Daytona infield a long time ago and if I told ya what it coast back then compared to today you would cry. Now I make it a point when watching the race on the tellie to check the stands and just wonder where every body went. Oh ya I forgot the price for tickets/hoopla is close to the national debt. Too bad because it is a blast.

Yes Cliff, I meant no hookups.
As for the beer, I took a friend once and he asked, "Now, they don't allow you to take beer into the stands, do they?"
My reply was, " If they didn't allow beer, there would be no Nascar."

McRod, we have full hook ups at our site. The cost is $750 for the week. There are the unresurved/no hook ups spots that are priced right.
The ticket price to a NASCAR race is still far below a comparable NFL ticket. NASCAR is an event, everything else is just a game. LOL

You are so right, People who have never spent time at a Nascar EVENT just wouldn't understand. The Dover race is only 5 weeks away.

I believe our tickets for three days of racing with reserved seats in turn ten were $110. This is hardly much more than a dinner for two at a fine restaurant and you all know what you eat turns to the next day.
Our campsite we have had for several years now is $350 from Wednesday through Monday.

We would love to go to Dover races this year.
Do you have a phone number or web site to rent a RV spot.
It would be much appreciated as I am not sure where to start

Relhub,
Here is the number to get tickets: 800 441-7223. There are campsites all around the track, some real close and some you have to take one of the shuttles to the track. I have a contact at the track and she just told me that they are not putting any more people in my lot this time because they are making all the spaces larger. They always were 20' and they are making them all 25'.
I am sending you a PM with my phone #. Call me and I will tell you where the best places are both on the track and in the stands.
The cost of a reserved RV lot is $130 (for the week) plus your tickets. the cost of the tickets are: Friday evening Truck race- $18. Saturday Xfinity race $32. Sunday Sprint cup is $75. I order early to get the discount though.
