I am a real beer snob. There are only three beers that I will drink
1 canned
2 bottled
3 on tap.

My fav is Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, but I like darker Sam Adams, Yuengling Black & Tan, Great Lakes Eliot Ness & Edmund Fizterald. Most of what I like is in the 5+ - 8.5% ABV area, but this past weekend I tried a bottle of Goose Island Stout (I think that was the name). At just about 2x the "A" I'm used to, it kicked my butt. Boy it was good though.

How about you Dan, do you stay at Pacific Shores also?
Maybe the three of us can get together at the brewery some time.

If you guys get out west, look up Kilt Lifter by Four Peaks Brewery. The main brew pub is on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe, AZ. Also have a pub in Scottsdale.
There's nothing like celebrating a Sun Devil victory over few Kilt Lifters!

I wiped out my local beer stores of all this Innis & Gunn a few months ago. I think I had about 30 bottles of it. I'm down to six.

I am partial to a good IPA, and the Breckenridge 471 always gets my vote.
If you are in the Houston area, and like a good IPA, go to Kroger and pick up a 4-pack of....wait for it.....Rodeo Clown IPA. It's my current favorite.

First time I had Innis and gunn (original) in Edinburgh in '09 and it was instantly my favorite. I have had at least 6 different varieties and that stout is absolutely the best... you are lucky as I haven't been able to find anymore of it. Have you had the maple cherry wood limited edition from last year?
