I might add, I plan on taking pretty much everything apart, cleaning, painting etc... I've built many a V8,, (Mopars) but this is a little different... I'm not afraid to take things apart and clean them, but if there is someone who could help me out with this, Thankyou....

A Coleman lantern is something a camping/RV bunch would be familiar with.

Hit and miss engine, not so much, you need to find a forum dedicated to them.

My brother found one very similar to that out near a mine. At sometime, the rocker arm had broken and a 7/16" wrench was welded in it's place. Ran great. Real "thumper".

Took it to a car wash today... Trying to get 100 years of gunk off of it... Found out a very bad thing... The magneto is shot... burnt/corroded wires ... Guess I'll have to start learning how to rebuild a magneto... Don't have an extra $400 laying around for a rebuilt one....

Thankyou Dunner... I'll look into that... I'll post a picture tomorrow of it... When I pulled the cover off of it,,, both wires going to the coils were coroded (sp?) and the spark plug wire was shot...
