I'll end up near Poulsbo (Kitsap Peninsula, an hour or so west of Seattle) for the summer.

I'm not headed back north by choice. Our plans were to be in Tucson until about April 15th and then take a month or so getting to the NW. Some family issues are taking us there earlier than planned this year (nothing life threatening, only my mental health is threatened... )

Cerrato's Grotto:

So, are there campgrounds around the Poulsbo area?? We've hung out on the Olympic Peninsula and up around Anacortes and REALLY love that area, but have never poked around the Kitsap Peninsula.

Sure enjoyed your website with the pics. Ya look good behind those drums !!

Too bad ya gotta role North before April.....brrrrrrrrr!,....although it's not so bad around the sound.

Hope to run into ya somewhere, sometime. Have a good trip.

Steve & Lynette

Hi Steve & Lynette,

Thanks for the kind comments.

There are no RV parks on Kitsap Peninsula that I can recomend based upon experience. We have 10 acres and some brick & mortor near the small village of Poulsbo.

Nearby there is Fay Bainbridge State Park that is a nice location right on Puget Sound. I'm not sure of the size limit on RVs though.

Very near where I live is Kitsap Memorial park that has RV sites. It is on the Hood Canal. The have just remodeled some of the facilities, but I've not looked at them with a critical eye.

Also near there is the Clearwater Casino which I think allows RVs in the parking lots.

The Olympic Peninsula has much more to offer in the way of RV parks / campgrounds and tourist attractions; (except Ralph & Wally busking on the streets of Poulsbo and weekends in whatever restaurant / venue we can trick into hiring us).

Call me if you get up that way.

I got my keyboard with me and I love to play it anytime I can. Jam bands are always fun too

I enjoy playing guitar and singing around the campfire but until a few nights ago I thought that I was the only one who enjoyed it. Then I reached back into my memory and started to play what we called folk music. Peter Paul and Mary, the Kingston trio etc. It gave me great satisfaction when a group of kids, ages about 5 through 10 sat as if mesmerized listening to songs that actually told stories. They had never heard the likes of Puff the magic dragon, My grandfather's clock and the like. Maybe it's time to bring back the songs from a simpler time before Ipods, video games and political correctness.

This YouTube link shows the style blues and performing I've been doing the past couple three years.

Most of my playing prior to that has been a bit more electric and can be heard on at this web address:

www.HamptonStudios.com/WallysMusic

I generally carry the small kit shown in the YouTube video when I travel in the RV.

After not having a guitar for a long time, I bought a new electric guitar yesterday. I finally have the time as a retired fulltimer to really learn to play. I also have a violin as I was trained as a classical musician at an early age, but the guitar has always been my desire to master.
