Musicians

I tried to reply to an existing thread but it was too old. Sooooo...I'll start a new one.

I was wondering if there are any traveling amature or semi-pro musicians out there playing in the campgrounds. I was wondering what type of entertainment need there was around the country. Thought it may be a way to help pay for Full Timing it someday. Our local CG Friendship Village has entertainment every weekend.

My wife and I have a Contemporary Christian Band. It is a 6 piece, so probably not practicle for any distance. But we do the acoustic thing too.

Glad to respond to you. My wife and I are gospel musicians and are very grateful to have our coach as our 'home away from home' as we travel.

There are a few, quite a few in fact, They more or less cover the gauntlet, i've had "Christian Gospel" I've heard "Cowboy Gospel" not that... Was interesting, I've heard straight Country, and I've heard "General Coverage" for want of a better name.

Also hard rock, but that was a local band hired by the park (NOT my cup of tea, If I were to critique the band I would have to say they are not long for the music world and may soon be mutes (unable to speak) But that's what comes from screaming the song instead of singing it)

I like most all kinds of music. I sing mostly church music. And the 20 or so folks I sing with.. Do it well.

We were at International RV park in Daytona part of Dec & Jan. Met some amature musicians. One guy from CA that just took up a love for bluegrass (my preference). We practiced together a few sessions and did a jam in the clubhouse.

He travels around the country looking for jams like that. According to him there are quite a few out there.

Thom not only carries several instruments but also his karaoke and dj equipment. I think about the only type of music/songs he does not play or sing is christian or rap. Everything else is fair game. Has quite a good voice too. Always gets asked to sing everywhere we go.
