I finally finished the new patchwork quilt for the 5er. We've ordered new recliners to replace the sofa and all the "decorating" should be finished before our next trip in August.

What has everyone else been doing with their "home on wheels"?

Sally's Mom, can you post some pictures? I would love to see your home made quilt and other decorating styles.

I would love to post some pictures, but don't know how. I barely figured out how to add an Avatar to myself!!! If someone would give me some direction I think I could do it. I know how to take pictures with the digital camera and how to attach them to e-mail messages, park 'em on my desktop and put 'em on a CD. Message boards have always been sort of a mystery to me, but I'm always willing to try new stuff.

Sallys Mom,

Take a look at our FAQ section, many of your questions may be answered there. Click here for a quick link to it, otherwise its link is located behind the "Getting Started" tab at the top of the Main Forum page.

Whew!!! Finally got a picture uploaded to the photo gallery - under Test. I'm worn out from fussing with the size and color. It was probably easier to make the quilt!!!

Sally's Mom, the quilt is lovely. Very pretty bright colors. Great way to spruce up the rv.

Thank you kindly. The picture should now be in the Scenery Gallery. A gallant gentleman by the name of Dave George offered to move the photo for me. Now that I'm "experienced" maybe I'll post a photo or two of my 5er cross stitch pictures or or or.....

I have been quilting about 23 yrs. We just got our coach in November. Are you girls quilting and piecing by hand? Do you take your sewing machine and where do you set up? I just can't amagine where I could work with fabric and see the country side and enjoy the travel and sew at the same time Would be great Need some ideas !

Sorry I took so long in answering - moved into a new "sticks and bricks". I don't quilt while RVing, but I do counted cross stitch. Quilting is one of those "at home" things that I enjoy fussing with - it would just take up more room than I'm willing to part with. My cross stitch projects are two types - large ones at home and the smaller to take on the road. I enjoy many hobbies but I love the scenery and I'm a really good navigator!

Since my original post we've changed from a 5er to a smaller motorhome, but the quilt still fits.
