I understand about the business. It must have been hard after 33 years, but if it no longer profitable, it would eventually be a real drain.
I think your plan is a good one to get rid of the other stuff on eBay.
Good luck and enjoy retirement.

There's gotta be a good story to tell about this!. Were you pulling something out of the water?

This one was not too far in but was hung up on the rocks they use for erosion control on Lake Superior, there was a lot of speculation as to why it was driven into the lake.
Starting out for a one man recovery
Almost done
On site recovery completed
Go back later to pick up small wrecker then tow service unit back to shop.
The service vehicle with the engine out above had the computer flashed at Ford so it could be used as a toad even with the automatic transmission everything has to pull double and triple duty.

Well I guess I drug it out long enough the engine is back in (it takes longer when you do it by yourself)
I was expecting to have to change the fuel pump after sitting this long without any fuel stabilizer in the tank but I did not expect the tank filler neck to rust out at the joint
I'm waiting for a pressure switch to put the tank back (the plastic body did not like being moved when trying to take it out, cracked big time in a few places). It's getting new filler hose as well when it gets here.
I should not have touched the rear brake lines while fixing differential leak they started to seep fluid and got replaced up to the master cylinder as well
The engine oil pan got replaced as well since it had heavy rust on it

John, are you going to use it as a toad, or just use it as another vehicle? It ought to be in almost new condition when you get done...

I was a little leery of the wheelbase in the snow and ice when I first bought it but after driving it in some pretty poor conditions in the winter I became impressed with it which is why I bought a second one for the others to use and leave mine alone.
It is set up where it could be a toad but my wife does not care for a red car, she does not like my Spider either it will be red as well and is next on my list for some long term work.
This one was pretty well loaded from the factory.

Not a hobby but a serious time consumer
When you start working on that Spider, you are going to be saying; "Were did all this room come from?".... Thar new garage must be a great place to be able to do that type of work, without being out in the elements... I bet it is big enough for you to even do what ever service work that needs to be done on the RV... And now you gust walk out the back door of the house to get to your work place....

Worse yet I bought another one for spare parts when it goes back together just in case (for matching screws and correct trim) it's been a pain storing a completely reupholstered interior with trunk interior to match, rechromed bumpers, and keeping mine with body mods inside out of the weather.
If you can't find red get another color and change it

The tank parts got here yesterday two days early, so the tank was finished early and installed today.
After a long time dragging my feet today the engine fired to life.
