This winter will be our first one spent 'snowbirding'. It's about time!
Retirement seemed slow in coming and now that it's finally here and we can do whatever we feel like doing whenever we feel like doing it I've got to wonder if one my favorite forms of exercise is going to be be available to me at all.
Most towns in Canada have an ice rink and if they do, have drop-in hockey of some description, quite often over 45 and over 55 or 60.

Any other hockey players out there that have found any ice time please let me know if it's worth taking my equipment along.

Probably Arizona SoCal, NM. Feint hope.

Bob

Come to Arizona and apply to play for the Coyotes. You will likely be better than the rest of the team!

contact the CAHL Coyote Adult Hockey League......Scotsdale...they play out of the Ice Den a double NHL pad arena where the Coyote Team practices.....apparently they have 36 teams with 4 or 5 skill levels....they are presently in their spring/summer league play, the winter league starts in September. I inquired about playing this fall...will be down in November and was told to call when I arrive. I am 63 and was not told that I was to old...so they must have a team for us. The rates are more than reasonable.Just search the above name and you will get the home page and name to contact.

Thanks Bob H,

I found the web page. Sounds interesting alright. Turns out we stayed north this past winter but plan on heading down that way next winter. Just might be worth taking the old stink bag along!

Hi Bob T

I plan on being down in Nov ...pulling a 5th wheel and Voyager Touring Bike.....hopefully I can find a park that will take me in...not all are biker friendly...don't need to be right in Scotsdale as long as the ride to the Ice Den is reasonable. May meet you on the ice. If anyone can recommend a nice camp ground it would be appreciated. I'm a recent widower so hopefully that plus the bike are not a deterrent to finding a place.
