I posted this on another forum and got many responses, so I'll try it here too.
What kind of knife do you carry when camping? Mine is a Buck 110 lock back that I have had for over 30 years.

I have only one knife a divers knife with one serrated edge which is normally attached to my PFD used in river rescue and the odd camp chore. I keep it sharp enough to shave with.

SOG Twitch II. Also carry the small Victorinox Swiss Army penknife which is almost as handy. Both are on my person 100% of waking hours.

I carry an el-cheapo pocket knife with a 4" blade I bought at Lowes several years ago. Came in a two-pack with a 2" blade knife I gave to the DW. Cost less than $10, holds an edge, has never let me down. YMMV

My first urge was to say "I never have carried a knife, and I never would because someone might take it from me and cut me with it, or my grand children might find it an hurt themselves. I think knives are dangerous and should be banned."

But, I'll resist that urge.

I use to carry an old Timer or a Case pocket knife untill 9/11. I was not permitted to carry one into work anymore so I just quit carrying one altogether.

Let's Not get this thread banned like gun threads, please.

My daughter gave this one to me. It has been a great tool, and I use it almost everyday. Clips nicely in my front pocket. I like it alot, as I can open it with one hand, like a switch blade.

Benchmade is my real knife but as an EMT I also carry a Gerber rescue knife (seal belt cutter, glass breaker and oxygen tank valve wrench in the handle).

Benchmade Mel Pardue Griptillian Tanto semi serrated
or
Benchmade HK Drop Point
or
Benchmade Mel Pardue Drop Point (almost too long to be legal)

I like the HK but at $220 I don't like taking the chance of losing it so I now carry the Griptilian since it was only about $90
