1991 Starcraft air pressure problem
Hi,
Can someone help a new rv owner with a problem. I purchased this recently from a friend who had not used it for several years. Problem- will not fill the airtanks dependably. I was told that after about 10 minutes of the engine running the tanks will slowly start to fill, but out of about 6 or 7 trys at this , I have had this happen only once. The other times there was no response on the air guages. Yesterday , after about 10 minutes of running, it finally came up to 110 PSI and the panel lights went off so it could be moved. I shut it off and came back in 2 1/2 hours. The air pressure had fallen to about 30 PSI. I started the engine and after 30 minutes of running the pressure had not come up at all. It just sat there at 30 psi until I stepped on the brake pad and it gradually fell back to zero. Can anyone shed some light on this, as I would like to bring it home one of there days. Thanks.
