First time poster

recently had to replace rear air brakr chambers- notice the slack adjuster arms have 2 holes to mount air chamber rods
too- i mounted the rods of the chambers in the upper holes
as orignal !!
Question is it seems to me you would have better braking mounting them in the lower holes as to have more leverage
and as such have better braking on these heavy coaches.
Has anyone did this and had good suscess ??
Thank you nevada jim

Jim,
You are correct that using the lower holes would create more leverage but would also take more travel to get the same braking action which also would result in more brake pedal travel I would think. It also could result in mis-alignment of the push-rod coming out of the brake chamber.

I would leave it where it was.
