considering the purchase of a 1998 Rexhall aerbus 37'. Owner says it has a Sparton chassis with a 8.3 liter Cummins with 275 hp. Unit has 52,000 miles. It has an exhaust brake. Unit is a 3.5 hour drive from me and I would like to have more info before going to look. Owner is not very knowledgeable about the coach. Hoping to get some info from this forum.
Does this chassis have air brakes and air suspension?
He says it has a Howard steering control. Does this model have a problem with the steering and does the Howard solve the problem?
Do you have an estimate of the cargo carrying capacity of this coach? What is the GCVWR of this chassis? I need to tow a F150.
Are there any inherent problems with this chassis I should be concerned about?
I think the ISC 8.3 liter started production in March 1998 so assume the chassis has the C engine. Do you know if hp can increased at a reasonable cost. What is the torque rating for the C ?
There are probably more questions I should ask and more items I should consider . Any input will certainly be appreciated.
