Paul,

I believe these small air lines are "pilot" air lines. Used for air signal to suspension. Also possibly for things like Air Horn. You'd have to check your air system diagram (and part of the air system is shown on the brake diagram) to be sure.

Thanks... maybe.

That's about the only thing in the back I think would possibly be pneumatic like that... I'll be checking out systems with a slow drive this weekend and see what is and is/not working with it capped.

I'd say find your air system diagram , or contact Spartan for a new one .

Small line may run to the compressor governor/un-loader and with the leak your air system pressure may get too high.

I was able to get the diagram from Spartan the other day (great support by Shane over the phone) and he provided these two diagrams.

I am confirming with them now if this is indeed the governor/unloader line, or something else.

Getting there...

I hope there's another page with an index for your line sizes and colors , just knowing that line 4 goes from the tank, and dryer, to the governor, then from the governor back to the compressor, isn't much use without size and color.

I just spent a good amount of time with Spartan on the phone. They DO have a build sheet which shows the dimensions and lengths of lines, and then have no reference to any 1/4" lines.... they were at a loss.

So I am just going to replace it and find time somewhere down the road in terms of what it actually does/did...
