I have a 2004 Rexair on a Spartan MM chassis and am having "issues" with the dash air. Does anybody know who makes the a/c compressor? It is supplied by Spartan but the markings on it indicate ACME and what may be a model number. Cant find either using the standard internet searches. I have a call in to Evans Tempcon for hoses (the ones that run the length of the RV) just in case one has a hole in it.

Go to a parts store. Either have the compressor or take measures of the clutch diameter, width, offset. Bring hetter pictures of the entire compressor including the hose connections, switch ports, etc.

Most likely it is a common automotive or heavy duty compressor. The company I work (Four Season div. Standard Motor Products) for most likely remanufactures it or makes it new.

I will second the "Common" comment.. Measure the mounting bolts, holes, and brackets, in fact if you know how or have a friend who can do it (I could do it, not a great skill have an "Engineering Drawing" done of the outer housing, You could also lay a ruler or 3 up againste it and take photos from all angles

you need the size of the inlet and outlet holes and the pully as well.

The last thing you need to know is most likely 12v (most RV's have 12 volt engine systems) though on a Diesel it **MIGHT** be 24v. (Odds very low)

and that's it. You might get a different make and model, but there is an old saying: "If the shoe fits, wear it"

Well, "If the compressor fits: Use it"
