Aaaaaggghhhh Air Brake Warning Light, and horn. Help
Went to storage to do fix a couple of clearance lights, and install a couple of fans on top of the Dometic Fridge this morning.
Noticed the air had dumped since a trip last week. Started the engine, and had the low air signal horn, warning light, and zero on both gauges. Let it idle a few minutes, and noticed the air bags fill up, then heard the whoosh sound when the system is full.
However, still have zero air in tanks, according to the gauge, warning horn, and red lights. Let it continue to idle for maybe 10 minutes, no change. Then I started pumping the brakes rapidly. After several pumps the gauges came up to normal, but still had warning horn, and red lights. Waited another ten minutes, gauges had gone back to zero. Pumped the breaks again, and gauges came up, but still had horn and red lights. Engine still idling, got out got on ground and listened for leaks as best I could. Nothing.
Turned the engine off for .30 seconds, started it up, warning horn off, red lights off, gauges looked good. Pumped the brakes three times and seemed to hold. So I backed up 5 feet so I could work on the clearance lights and fans.
So what do you guys think? Not sure what to do next. Repair facilities are 120 miles from where I live.
