Adjustment Knob on the tag dump valve?
On a 2013 Mountain Master chassis does anyone know what the black slightly cone shaped adjustment is on the top of the tag dump valve? Does it adjust the amount of air that is dumped when tag dump is pressed or does it adjust the amount of air that goes to the tag when it inflates?

Adjustment valve on the tag axle dump valve
Hi Don,
You should be able to trace the air lines on the pressure side to see which air cells they go to. That air pressure adjustment knob, should be accompanied with an air gauge. I'm guessing it is used to regulate the amount of air pressure in the tag axle....to get the tag to carry the right amount of weight.
Good Luck
Say HI to Gerri, and have a great summer

Hello Harvey!!!
No air gauge on this one. It is located on the drivers side frame rail just forward of the tag. The black plastic knob can be pulled up and then rotated either towards the - or +. Must adjust something......hmmm.

Like to help
Well Don, I would sure like to help, but I guess I'm not much help to you! Only other suggestion would be to trace the air lines (if they are not wrapped in loom and hard to get at), or get the owners manual out and try to find a page showing your air line schematics. You could also try 1-800-the-manufacturer. You know let your fingers do the walking. Talking about help....I got my (4)- 160 w solar panels, and my new charge controller all installed. Now waiting for a sunny day to take the bus out of the garage and adjust the settings on the controller.
All the best.....Harvey 🚐

Harvey,
Very nice on the solar. That should come in handy for the trip to Alaska.

Don,
I think the knob you are speaking about does adjust the air pressure in the tag when aired up.
In fact if it's the same valve as our previous coach a 2013 Aspire RBQ I moved the adjustable valve out to the service compartment by extending the air lines. I added an air pressure gauge to see how much pressure I was carrying in tag.
I did this to take some weight off the front axle. I had it adjusted to 40 lbs. I think the original set was around 45 PSI.

Richard,
Thanks for your information. It seems Spartan techs do not want to talk about what this valve adjustment can or cannot do.

Where was this valve your are talking about located? It would be very nice to control the tag pressure, especially if you needed to put more weight on the drive axle for added traction if driving in snow.

On mine it is located on the tag dump valve in between the drive and tag axles on the drivers side frame rail. Getting conflicting information from Spartan as to what it actually does. Latest from Spartan is that it controls the amount of air exhausted from the tag when it is dumped.

I will be at Spartan in September and will find out where any adjustment knob is located to control the air pressure on the rear tag.
