Ok so anyone have a suggestion. Twice now this has happened and am looking for a solution. I thought (first big mistake I know) that when the hydrolic leveling system was activated and auto level was engaged the air bags would automatically deflate. This apparently is not occurring as the coach is jumping like there is a pogo stick in the front end. First time baffled me so much had it towed to a CAT Dealership. When the tow truck driver put drive shaft back in it drove fine. Had it checked at transmission specialist and at a diesel service center both saying could find nothing. So this weekend it did it again... Felt like front end was jumping all over the place. So today I pulled off side of the road and manually dumped all the air out of the system then restarted and waited for air system to get to operating levels and presto back to normal. So I am guessing that there may be multiple problems:

1. Shouldn't the hydrolic leveling system dump the air in the air bags?
2. Shouldn't the air bags recognize they are already full?
3. Is it possible that the air bags are inflating so much that the ride is that bad????

As usual any thoughts ideas will be appriciated.

Do you have a HWH leveling system on your coach? On mine, when I shut off the engine and turn the key to acc, then push the level button the first thing that happens is the air valve opens and all the air drains out of the air bags. It is a timed thing, so it doesn't know how much air is in the bags, just that the dump has to be open for so many seconds. Then the levelers come down and level the coach until it passes the level test. After that it shuts off. When getting ready to leave, I start the bus, and then hit the store button. The air bags fill up and the jacks go up at the same time. When I get the green light on the HWH panel and see that I have 120lbs of air in the air bags, I'm good to go. I can't figure out what's happening on your rig, but what does your two air pressure guages read when you are ready to travel? Steve

Steve thanks for the response! I guess the only thing that I can try that is different from what I do is turn ignition to acc. It is an Equilizer system. The dash gauges read 120. The problem seems to be intermittent so was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar. I will try the acc setting and see if that does it again thanks.

Maybe the problem is that the engine is running. It has to be off or the bags will try to keep filling, dumping, filling etc. That's why the acc position. Just a thought
